We recently hosted When investors ask AI: The future of reporting and how to win in AI visibility at London's Goldsmiths' Centre, bringing together professionals from reporting, corporate communications, investor relations, ESG and sustainability to explore how AI is changing the way corporate information is discovered, assessed and communicated.
The event featured two panel discussions with representatives from The Investor and Issuer Forum, Extel, Stolt-Nielsen Limited, Informa and Schroders. Discussions explored how investors and analysts are using AI today, alongside the implications for reporting, investor communications and corporate websites as AI increasingly becomes part of how stakeholders find and evaluate information.
The conversations highlighted that AI is changing the mechanics of research and information discovery, enabling investors to analyse larger volumes of information, ask more targeted questions and compare companies more efficiently than ever before. As a result, organisations need to think not only about the information they publish, but also how that information is structured, connected and surfaced across channels.
A recurring theme throughout the event was that success in an AI-enabled world is not about publishing more content. Instead, companies need a clear understanding of their audiences, a strong and consistent narrative, and a connected communications ecosystem that helps stakeholders access trusted information wherever they choose to engage.
The discussions also explored the growing importance of digital reporting, the role of corporate websites in supporting AI visibility, and how organisations can ensure their key messages remain discoverable, credible and authoritative as stakeholder behaviours continue to evolve.
As AI becomes an increasingly important gateway between companies and their audiences, reporting is evolving into a more connected, multi-channel discipline that spans annual reports, websites, investor communications, leadership channels and social content.
