Black Sun joins World Benchmarking Alliance

Black Sun Global is pleased to announce that we have become Allies of the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA).
The WBA is a collaborative community of over 280 organisations globally including ABN Amro, HSBC Asset Management, and Investec. Their mission is ‘to build a movement to measure and incentivise business impact towards a sustainable future that works for everyone. ‘We envision a society that values the success of business by what it contributes to the world.’ www.worldbenchmarkingalliance.org
They do this through developing a series of benchmarks assessing 2,000 of the world’s most influential companies and ranking and measuring them on their contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals. These benchmarks align with the seven transformations that the WBA have identified which need to take place to put society and the worldwide economy on a more sustainable path to achieve the SDGs.

These benchmarks align with the seven transformations that the WBA have identified which need to take place to put society and the worldwide economy on a more sustainable path to achieve the SDGs.
The benchmarks contain a wealth of sectoral data which reveal both to companies and stakeholders where each company stands compared to its peers, where it can improve and where urgent action is needed to deliver on the SDGs.
WBA’s 280 allies help them to amplify their message and promote the use of the benchmarks amongst companies, investors, regulators and wider society. The Allies are a global community of like-minded stakeholders committed to helping to achieve the SDGs.
Black Sun’s Director of Insight and Innovation, Elli Siapkidou commented ‘We are delighted to be joining forces with the World Benchmarking Alliance. As a stakeholder engagement agency Black Sun helps corporates take actions that lead to real systemic change and translate those actions into meaningful communications with measurable engagement. Becoming a WBA Ally will give Black Sun the opportunity to play a role in shaping and sharing the WBA’s benchmarks. The insights they provide will help us to inform and shape conversations with our clients and help them to implement change and spark positive stakeholder engagement’.
