SIAS Digesting Stewardship, ESG and Governance Webinar

ESG is the flavour of the decade. Governance is like bread and butter – basic but much needed. Meanwhile, stewardship ensures the long-term health of companies. All three – ESG, Governance and Stewardship – need to come together in the right balance.
Since the introduction of the Singapore Stewardship Principles for Responsible Investors (SSP 1.0) in 2016, capital markets have undergone profound changes. As the world shifts towards more inclusive stakeholder capitalism, concerns over how capital markets impact ESG have intensified.
Given the evolving developments, it is timely and relevant to upgrade the principles. A 12-member Steering Committee, led by Stewardship Asia Centre and Supported by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Singapore Exchange, has worked on SSP 2.0 to ensure that the stewardship principles drive best practices for responsible investors.
In this webinar, members of the SSP 2.0 Steering Committee will share their perspective of the revisions and how SSP 2.0 aims to take care of the long-term health of companies, with the right mix of ESG and Governance.
Speakers
Uantchern Loh – Vice President, SIAS and CEO, Black Sun Asia Pacific
Michael Tang – Head of Listing Policy & Product Admission, Singapore Exchange Regulation
Adrian Chan – First Vice-Chairman, Singapore Institute of Directors
