Black Sun clients win across the categories at the IR Society Awards

Black Sun Plc is delighted that 10 clients were shortlisted across all categories and three walked away as winners at The Investor Relations Society's 2017 Best Practice Awards. Black Sun clients won awards in the categories of 'Best annual report', 'Most effective integration of sustainability into corporate communications' and the Grand Prix title of 'Most effective communication of company investment proposition'.

The prestigious Pavilion at the Tower of London was the venue for judges, FTSE organisations and international companies last night at the Best Practice Awards, hosted and produced by City favourite, The IR Society. The Awards celebrated its 17th year recognising companies that demonstrate clear and consistent investor communications and raise the bar among corporate communicators throughout the industry. Chairman of the IR Society and of the judging panel, David Lloyd-Seed, said "high standards are being pushed more broadly across the board, as the professionalism of IR improves communication between companies and the markets".

Black Sun's Chief Engagement and Insight Officer, Sallie Pilot, said: "The IR Society's Best Practice Awards is one of the most influential investor relations events of the year. Each year the bar is raised for best practice in investor communications. We are delighted to have so many of our clients recognised across multiple categories, and particularly pleased that the Adecco Group, Olam International Limited, DS Smith, The Go-Ahead Group and Taylor Wimpey have been recognised by the esteemed judges. We look forward to working together with them on developing their communications this upcoming season. We would like to give a special nod to Taylor Wimpey, who were highly commended in two categories in their first year as a FTSE 100 company."

The self-entry awards are comprised of five categories that reward and promote best practice in investor communications, including: best annual report, most effective integration of sustainability into corporate communications, best use of digital communications, best IPO IR communications, and most effective communication of company investment proposition. There are separate award categories for FTSE 100, FTSE 250, Small Cap & AIM, and international companies.  The full list of Black Sun Plc clients that were shortlisted can be found here.
