Vesuvius celebrates 100 year anniversary with new website

Black Sun is delighted to announce the launch of Vesuvius’s new corporate website www.vesuvius.com. Consolidating previously separate sites, from across different business units, the new Vesuvius.com is a single site that supports all key stakeholders.

Black Sun was challenged to create a site which engaged a wide variety of stakeholders- investors, media, employees, prospective employees, customers and suppliers. As a truly globally company, with over 100 locations across 6 continents the site had to represent and support many aspects of the business.

The site delivered a huge step up in terms of user experience, with an emphasis on providing B2B product information, supporting marketing and sales. In the previous site, products were categorised by the Business Unit, rather than by solution, making it sometimes difficult for new customers to find a product of interest and who to contact. As this was of key importance, Black Sun teamed with Business Units from across America and Europe to gain insight on how their products should be presented to customers, which resulted in the products being categorised by solutions.

To support the truly global customer base, many of the product pages have been translated across 19 languages, expanding their international reach. Finally, to add to their 100 years anniversary celebration, an interactive and engaging history timeline was developed, which can be viewed here.
