Capita Asset Services, who provide financial outsourcing services to institutional, corporate, financial, fund and private clients, shared an article in July 2016 titled, Improving Corporate Reporting.

The article looks at the annual report in the context of trends in reporting in large and small companies. It highlights Black Sun’s Ticking the boxes, missing the point? research report and the FRC’s Quality of Reporting by Smaller Listed and AIM Quoted Companies report. The article discusses points made in Black Sun’s research on how annual reports are valued, and where improvements to them can be made.

With findings from Black Sun’s research, it then goes on to suggest what companies can do including, engaging better with investors, and ensuring integration of all the annual report’s contributors.
