Tuesday 24th November saw two of the most prestigious events in the communications awards calendar – the IR Society Best Practice Awards and the CorpComms Awards. 

The Black Sun team were delighted to attend both events to celebrate with the seven clients who were shortlisted across a variety of categories. There was success at both ceremonies with three clients taking home silverware. Winners were:

• IR Society Best Practice Awards:
  • Go-Ahead Group for:
    • The best use of digital communications – FTSE 250
    • The best overall communication of a company investment proposition – FTSE 250
  • Uralkali for:
    • Best Annual Report International – FTSE 250
• CorpComms Awards:
  • SUEK for:
    • the best Annual Report 2014 – private sector

 

The IR Society Best Practice Awards, held at The Pavillion, Tower of London, recognise those companies which have achieved successful results and gained the support of the investment community for their strong understanding of and proactive efforts to promote investor relations communications. They awards have influenced improved investor relations over the years and Black Sun was delighted to sponsor the awards this year.  

Taking place at the same time were the 10th CorpComms Awards which were held at the Troxy in east London. The CorpComms Awards recognise industry leaders for their excellence in corporate communications across a broad range of categories including Annual Reports, corporate publications, employee engagement, and crisis management.
