Success at the ICSA Excellence in Governance Awards 2014

Black Sun client, Babcock International, picked up the award for ‘Best Strategic Report in the FTSE 100’ at the ICSA Excellence in Governance Awards ceremony last night. The awards celebrate the very highest standards of governance and disclosure in reporting and recognise the contributions of individuals and teams.

Terri Wright, Head of Investor Relations at Babcock said,

‘We are delighted to win an award for our Strategic Report. We worked very closely with the Black Sun team this year and their strategic direction has helped us to take our reporting to the next level. It is fantastic that this has been recognised by the ICSA. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and a good reminder of the progress being made towards clear, transparent reporting’.

Hosted by the actor, broadcaster and writer Gyles Brandreth, the ceremony took place at the Brewery, attracting over 600 governance professionals.

The awards recognised achievements of companies across a range of categories, from the FTSE 100 right through to unlisted organisations. Black Sun sponsored two of these awards, Best Annual Report for the FTSE 100, and for the FTSE 250.
