The 2014 Corporate & Financial Awards were hosted by British comedian Bob Mills, and were presented during a gala dinner at The Brewery London venue. The awards recognise companies with innovative and creative communications strategies that excel at communicating to multiple stakeholders with a single distinct voice. The Corporate & Financial Awards were launched in 2012

Simon Henderson, Managing Director of Black Sun plc said “Congratulations to all our clients who were shortlisted for an award, it’s always exciting for their work to be recognised at such a prestigious event. The awards won this evening are a testament to our clients’ hard work and dedication to delivering first class corporate communications solutions across different channels.”

Gary Davies, director of investor relations at GSK and a Corporate & Financial judge, said: “I and my fellow judges were very impressed by the number and standard of entries in many of the categories that we had the pleasure to review. This made the review quite challenging, but the experience, good-natured debate, flexibility and sense of humour of the panel made the process very enjoyable. Thank you, Communicate magazine, for the opportunity to participate in this year’s judging panel and very well done to all the well-deserved award winners!”

Andrew Thomas, publishing editor at Cravenhill Publishing, publisher of Communicate magazine, said: “The Corporate & Financial Awards is the only awards programme to recognise the convergence of investor relations, corporate communications and financial PR and, since the event was launched in 2012, we now see more than twice as many here tonight celebrating that work.”

He continued, “Those who have received trophies or certificates this evening have been unstinting in their communications efforts, maintaining dialogue with investors, analysts, business journalists and the wider stakeholder community.”
