Black Sun had an extremely successful evening at the Business Finance Awards 2014 last night with Genel Energy, CIMA and Telecity Group all recognised for their annual reporting at the ceremony in the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington. The Business Finance Awards celebrate the role of finance in UK business, prizing innovation and success across a broad range of categories. 

Despite tough competition from the eight other finalists, the judging panel of ten leading finance professionals named Genel Energy the winner in the ‘Annual Reports: Business’ category. Telecity Group and CIMA received high commendations for their Annual Reports in the ‘Business’ and ‘Public Sector’ categories respectively. 

Just a year on from its inaugural report, the judges recognised that Genel Energy has successfully evolved its 2012 report to incorporate best practice and the latest thinking in corporate reporting. The 2012 report provides stakeholders with consolidated messaging on key differentiators and a detailed focus on performance during Genel Energy's first full year of operations. The overall result offers a transparent and integrated disclosure of Genel Energy's performance for the year in review.
