Black Sun's article featured in Practical Law PLC Magazine

Black Sun has recently written an article contributing to the October 2014 issue of PLC Magazine for Practical Law, which sets forth the business case for Integrated Reporting IR. Entitled “Integrated reporting: a worthwhile journey”, the article discusses the benefits of IR as a means of navigating the transformed reporting landscape and meeting stakeholder demands for increased transparency, improved stewardship and more meaningful disclosure.
Set in the context of evolving reporting regulations in the UK, Sallie Pilot, Director of Research and Strategy at Black Sun, explores the work of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). The article lays out the structure of the International IR Framework, including guiding principles and content elements; a guide for what exactly goes into an Integrated Report.
The case for adopting IR is supported by the findings of “Realizing the Benefits: The Impact of Integrated Reporting”, Black Sun’s latest research piece which was launched at the IIRC Pilot Programme Conference in Madrid last week. The research analyses the impact of IR, evaluating the experiences of participants of the IIRC Pilot Programme. This research tells a story of widespread internal and external benefits and encouraging boardroom positivity emerging from the Pilot Programme, making the business case for IR stronger than ever.
