Black Sun’s digital corporate communications team has helped its client, Uralkali, meet the needs of its increasingly mobile stakeholders by integrating the latest HTML5 and web technologies to launch a multilingual mobile web App.

Business stakeholders have become more demanding expecting to access information from anywhere, at any time, and on any device including mobiles and tablets. Uralkali recognised this growing trend amongst its investors and customers and asked Black Sun to devise a multilingual mobile strategy to address their needs.

Black Sun set out to develop a solution that not only met Uralkali’s communications needs but also exploited the latest technologies. The best of HTML 5 was combined with other mobile technologies and then integrated with Uralkali’s content management system enabling them to update information once but allowing them to publish to multiple locations.

The new App solution is available in Russian and English, offers targeted content to investors and customers, and has been built in HTML 5, therefore giving access from any mobile device without having to download it from iTunes or other app stores.

It enables users to read content even when out of coverage, and provides a ‘briefcase’ feature to save articles of most interest. The App is integrated with Uralkali’s content management system ensuring content is not entered multiple times and can be managed via one system.
