Sallie Pilot speaks at the IIRC Conference on Integrated Reporting

Director of Research & Strategy at Black Sun, Sallie Pilot, was amongst the speakers at the IIRC Pilot Programme Conference earlier today in Amsterdam. Sallie was invited to present the findings of latest research which tracks the changes in behaviours of companies participating in the Pilot Programme and to launch the IIRC's new Emerging Integrated Reporting Database.

Following the success of the conference last year, the aim of this two day event at KPMG’s offices in Amstelveen, is to showcase the experiences from the first year of the IIRC’s Pilot Programme and provide the opportunity to understand and contribute to the latest thinking in integrated Reporting. It will also discuss a roadmap for the future of the Pilot Programme until 2014. The conference will be attended by more than 140 representatives from the IR Pilot Programme business and investor networks.

Sallie helped kick off the conference by unveiling the much anticipated launch of the IIRC Database, which is an online resource for organisations interested in Integrated Reporting. Black Sun worked with the IIRC to produce the database, which contains examples of emerging practice in Integrated Reporting and illustrates how organisations are currently reporting material information about their strategy, governance, performance and prospects in a clear, consise and comparable format. Sallie will also be disclosing some of the key findings of a research report which Black Sun conducted on behalf of the IIRC. The research tracks the behavioural changes of those companies in the Pilot Programme on their journey towards Integrated Reporting and will be published shortly.

Other speakers at the event include Paul Druckman (IIRC CEO), Peter Bakker (WBCSD Chair, former CEO of TNT), Charles Tilley (CEO, CIMA), Colin Melvin (CEO Hermes EOS) and Angelien Kemna (CIO, APG Asset Management).
