Rio Tinto Launches New Look Online Reporting Centre
On Friday 16th of March, Rio Tinto launched their new Online Reporting Centre for 2011 reports with the help of the Black Sun Team.
Rio Tinto had identified the need to evolve their reporting strategy to meet the needs of their stakeholders around the world and tasked Black Sun with the crucial job of maximising every medium in order to ensure their vision become a reality. Black Sun kicked off the project by reviewing a detailed communications matrix of all Rio Tinto's key stakeholders and essentially redefined the company's corporate reporting suite, both in print and online, to ensure their key audiences received all the information they required. The end result brought together an Annual Report that provides a detailed review of performance, an Annual Review which gives a concise review of performance through an engaging communication of key messages and for the very first time, a separate Sustainable Development Report which further improves clarity of reporting in this vital area.
To bring this exciting new development to life in the online environment, Black Sun created a Reporting Centre which houses all three communications and promotes the prominence of Rio Tinto within the modern world whilst animating their new fresh and inspiring brand through a range of bespoke digital communications strategies.
