We are proud to announce that NLMK has just been shortlisted for Communicate Magazines’ Digital Impact Awards for their unique use of the digital channel within their industry sector.

NLMK, one of the leaders of the global steel industry and one of Russia’s largest steel manufacturers, have set the standard for online reporting this year with an online Annual Report which enhanced and uniquely presented the group’s business model.

Following the acquisition of a European asset, one of NLMK’s main aims for the report which went live on the 21st of August, was to communicate how their vertically integrated business model is appropriate, not just for their present business position but also for the long term.

Having completed a takeover during times of austerity, NLMK needed to clearly communicate the benefits this would present to the Group, how the business’s structure was set to evolve and any predicted synergies. Black Sun helped NLMK produce an accessible and engaging report which aimed to clearly communicate key issues to investors. Content Guidelines and a Reporting Audit also helped NLMK ensure that they were answering all the right questions whilst adhering to best practice on an International level.

This highly interactive online report mirrors the printed report and animates the illustrations to create an interactive and engaging website. The range of functionality and innovative interactive features in the online environment facilitates the customisation of the Annual Report content. The site allows users to virtually explore NLMK’s operations and results in detail, bringing the illustrations to life. Effective use of video and practical online reporting tools are also included in order to create an accessible and exciting online resource. These solutions effectively chronicle the transformation of the Group and ensure they connect with all stakeholders offering a strong investment identity.
