Black Sun clients top the board for BusinessFinance Awards 2013

A whole host of Black Sun clients were highly acclaimed for their reporting and communications when the shortlist for the BusinessFinance Awards 2013 was released last week.
The nominations for the Best Annual Report and Accounts included Black Sun Clients such as African Barrick Gold, BAE Systems, Genel Energy, Go-Ahead, Inchcape, International Airlines Group, Rio Tinto, Taylor Wimpey, Tullow Oil, and Xstrata. The BBC were also amongst the nominees.
The BusinessFinance Awards 2013 is the leading Awards for UK Finance Directors, their teams, and their suppliers. The Awards is in its first year and celebrates the role that finance plays in UK business. It seeks to acknowledge those that have excelled in the areas of Annual Reports, key suppliers to the finance function, individual heads of finance and finance teams across the private and public sectors.
The Judging Panel which included Andrew Leck, Head of ACCA UK and Margaret Ewing, formerly Deloitte Vice-Chairman and Finance Director, BAA, looked specifically at the following criteria when making their selection for the Annual Report category:
- Financial and operating performance
- Key drivers of the organisation
- Management Strategy
- Approach to corporate governance and corporate and social responsibility
The winner will be announced at a gala ceremony on the 6th of March at L’Meridien Piccadilly which will be attended by leading representatives from across the UK Finance Industry.
