BAE Systems and Tullow Oil nominated for Communicate Magazine Awards

Black Sun is delighted that two of our clients, Tullow Oil and BAE Systems have both been shortlisted for the ‘best printed report award’ for Communicate Magazine’s Corporate & Financial Awards.
The awards, which are in their first year, celebrate excellence in communication, both in print and online, across a variety of stakeholder groups and provide a true benchmark of outstanding corporate communications. The projects were judged by a cross-section of experienced in-house practitioners, communication agency directors, analysts and business and financial journalists.
Both companies have already been recognised for their ambitious reporting initiatives with BAE Systems winning ‘best board disclosure for a FTSE100’ at the ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards 2011 and Tullow Oil being awarded for ‘best communication of governance and risk in the annual report’ at the IRS Best Practice Awards 2011. Both award ceremonies took place late last year.
Lauren Dalley, Group Account Director at Black Sun who has been involved in leading both award winning projects, commented: “It has been a great pleasure to work with two companies who have been so dedicated to developing their corporate reporting to leading best practice standards and seeing the fruits of such hard work being recognised and rewarded at such highly commended key industry award ceremonies”.
Winners of the Corporate & Financial Awards will be announced on the 15th of May at a gala dinner at The Light, Bishopsgate. On behalf of all the Black Sun team, we would like to extend our congratulations to Tullow Oil and BAE Systems and wish them the very best of luck at the awards!
