Triumph for Black Sun client BAE Systems
BAE Systems continue with their success from last year, to pick up the award for 'best board disclosure' for FTSE 100 at the 2011 ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards.
To achieve the success in this winning categories the judges were looking for a 'descriptive, reasoned and explanatory disclosure regarding director development, skills, board evaluation and succession planning with clear links to the company's strategic purpose and with regard to the benefits of diversity, including gender'.
Now in their third year, the ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards reward high standards of disclosure in a company’s report and accounts, with the aim of encouraging improvements both in the disclosure process and in governance performance itself. They have the backing of the Government, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), the Association of British Insurers (ABI), the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Financial Times.
Black Sun would like to congratulate all the teams involved at BAE Systems for their continued hard-work in developing their corporate reporting and for being consistently recognised as producing an award-winning Annual Report.
