Accountancy magazine: Board members lack basic knowledge
At Black Sun's annual corporate reporting seminar, respresentatives were questioned over the level of engagement with the Annual Report and their knowledge of the business. Responses showed that two-thirds of respondents, believed that their fellow board members have a poor grasp of their own business model.
In addition just over a fifth (21%) reported that their boards were significantly involved in the preparation of the report and only 30% were confident that all their board members could explain the company’s business model.
