Tullow Oil CSR Report commended in ACCA Awards
Black Sun is pleased to report that Tullow Oil’s Corporate Social Responsibility report 2007 received a commendation in the ACCA Ireland 2008 Sustainability Reporting Awards. The ACCA awards “Reward companies around the world for excellence in environmental, social and sustainability reporting.” The aim of the Awards is to “identify and reward innovative attempts to communicate corporate performance.”
The judges praised the report for giving a full picture of the company’s activities, using case studies in an innovative way, outlining objectives, targets and performance and communicating effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.
David Christopherson, CEO of Black Sun commented “It is becoming more important that CSR is incorporated into the overall corporate reporting programme. Producing the CSR report alongside the annual report ensures that both documents achieve the same high standards of communications excellence. We are therefore delighted that our client’s efforts in CSR reporting have been commended in these prestigious awards.”
